Practice suits take the most abuse of anything in the bag: daily yardage, chlorine and the sun on deck. Every Q practice suit is cut from chlorine-resistant Italian PBT with 4-way stretch and UV/SPF 50+, and made to order in youth and adult sizes with no minimums.

It depends on the fabric more than the brand. Standard spandex blends break down in chlorine: they thin out, bag and fade. Every Q practice suit is cut from chlorine-resistant Italian PBT that holds its shape and color set after set. To get the most out of any suit, rinse it in cold tap water right after practice, never wring it, and let it dry in the shade. Chlorine left in the fibers keeps working after you leave the pool.

Pick by how much back you want covered and how much water you want to feel. Skinny Strap: thin straps and an open back, the least fabric on your shoulders. Classic Strap: wider straps for more support and coverage. Sunback Tank: the most back coverage of the three. X-Back and Y-Back: crossed straps designed to hold the suit in place through turns and starts. Men train in the Classic Brief or the Jammer, and add a Drag Suit over either for resistance work. Every cut is made to order in youth and adult sizes.

Rotate at least two, three if you swim doubles. A suit that goes back in the pool while it is still damp never fully sheds the chlorine, so it wears out faster. With two or three in rotation, each one dries completely between sessions and the wear spreads out. Q suits are made to order, so restocking a favorite print is the same order as the first one.
